Several movie-theater operators are converting their facilities to luxury-movie theaters in the St. Louis market, reports St. Louis Today. There are four deluxe, dine-in theaters in the St. Louis market and one in Illinois.The concept is growing in popularity throughout the U.S. 

Dinners, drinks, and decorum are served up in heaping portions to make a night at the movies a thoroughly luxuriating sensorial experience. Two staffers of the SLT went on field trips and returned with the lowdown on four dine-in theaters around St. Louis. 

The target audience is adults who still value the big-screen experience and are willing to pay extra for comfortable surroundings, quality food and convenient services such as reserved seating.
