The making of a Patek Phillippe watch is an arduous process to say the list.
Each watch is handmade and takes a year to complete it. Two-hundred-and –fifty individual parts are used. This video by Bloomberg News informs us that “only” 50,000 Patek Phillippe watches are sold annually. PP may make 50,000 watches but not all of those are priced at $500,000.
So, we are going to assume that that this is a typo, as $500,0000 multiplied by 50,000 would be $25 billion … and that sounds a tad high or firm that reported revenue at around $970 million in 2012. Fortunately, we are not auditors scrutinizing sales figures --just lovers of luxury watches.
Regardless, observing the making of one of these extraordinary timepieces in this 2-minute video is rather amazing.
