Most Expensive Residential Buildings in NYC in 2012

Having a residence near Central Park remains the community with the most status in the Manhattan district of New York City in 2012. However, the buildings along or overlooking the Hudson River packed a wallop of “wow” factor as well.

This report from Real Estate Weekly cites the addresses of the 10 most expensive residential buildings on the market in 2012 from data compiled by StreetEasy.com.  

15 Central Park West -- Leading by a huge margin, 15 CPW saw 16 closings last year, with an average price per square foot of $13,048. Zeckendorf’s ultra-luxury towers occupy a full block between 61st and 62nd Streets. Residents include Denzel Washington, Sting and [NASCAR’s] Jeff Gordon.
