NASA’s satellite-photographs taken from the Verner Suoni satellite are a sight to behold.  It flies over any given point on Earth's surface twice each day at about 1:30 a.m. and p.m. from a height of 512 miles from the planet's surface. Data is transmitted to scientists in Norway after each orbit "and continuously to local direct broadcast users distributed around the world."
