Singer and hit songwriting machine Billy Joel sold a waterfront estate in Miami Beach for $13.75 million, as conveyed by a spokesperson of One Sotheby’s International Realty on Tuesday the Sun Sentinel reported. The new owner was not identified.
Joel made less than a 1.9% gross profit off the 8,881-square-foot house, as he purchased it for $13.5 million in 2006. The report indicates that BJ made a profit of $250,000. However, it would have to be a gross profit unless there were no closing costs or commission paid to the real estate agents.
The property sets in front of 165 feet of waterfront and consists of seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, a wine cellar, and a gourmet kitchen.
