The Real Madrid Los Blancos is the MVP of sports teams in financial circles, reports Forbes. The team, which is one of the most successful teams ever of European soccer, is currently valued at $3.3 billion. Its revenues are up 62% over three years.
Similar to the Green Bay Packers of the NFL, the other football league, the team is owned by 93,000 members that pay $195 annually for their pride of ownership … and say-so on how the team operates.
Those damn New York Yankees are the highest rated U.S. team on Forbes’ The World’s 50 Most Valuable Sports Teams 2013 list. The Bronx Bombers are valued at $2.3 billion. The Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, at $2.1 billion and $1.63 billion. NFL teams comprise 60% of the organizations on Forbes’ annual list.
