Ultra-luxury automaker Rolls-Royce sold 3,575 cars in 2012, according to a sales report released by the firm this week. It is the third consecutive year that the BMW Group-owned brand set new sales records, per a report from Forbes.
Rolls-Royce sells more cars priced higher than $200,000 than any other automotive company. The new high sales mark was attained despite the tepid performance of both the China and the UK market in 2012.
“I am highly excited,” says Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “In the beginning of 2012 I said I am cautiously optimistic that we would have another record year, and that has proven to be exactly right.”
