There is rumor abound that Apple will introduce its first big-screen smartphone, reports Dan Farber for CNET.
The rumor, which is described as “sketchy,” states that a 4.8-inch iPhone may be introduced this June at Apple’s 2013 Worldwide Developer’s Conference in San Francisco. The report also goes on to state that more news is possible this Wednesday, when Apple reports its quarterly earnings.
Analysts covering Apple estimate the company will reports sales of around 47 million iPhones for the quarter ending Dec. 31, 2012. But, Apple reportedly has recently cut orders in half for iPhone 5 screens due to decreased demand and increased competition from Samsung and other Android-based smartphones.
