Shoppers Flock to Charity Store to Buy High-End Luxury Goods

A charity store in Edinburgh, Scotland,  found a cure for the post-holiday retail lull by offering high-end luxury goods at deeply discounted prices, according to report from the Daily Record.  

The sale in the posh section of town, on Morning Side Road,  attracted shoppers far and wide.  Goods by Prada, Rolex, and Vivienne Westwood, and other luxury brands, such as cashmere, jewelry, and consumer-electronic goods drew shoppers in droves to the Shelter,  a charity retail store in Scotland offered items from high-end fashion designers that had shoppers lined up outside the store and in the streets.

Kim Turner, 53, who works at a nearby hairdresser’s, took just minutes to secure a £120 pair of Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses for £40 while colleague Ellis Thom, 21, tried a Star Wars clone trooper helmet on for size.
