It started out with the “bromance” and the “man-cave”, the new terms to describe the places and relationships that really embrace the interaction and culture of men hanging out together. Well, now there’s a new term and its adrenaline charged, the “mancation”. Mancations, a new show slated for the Travel Channel, hosted by comedians Evan Mann and Gareth Reynolds, will chronicle the embodiment of this new term. Mancations takes the man-traveler through tours of adrenaline and testosterone induced vacations like ninja training, lumberjack education, crab fishing and a Civil War battle re-enactments.
The pilot episode was filmed at ManCation Nation, a company specializing in bromance vacations, in Parker, Arizona. A new study shows that male bonding vacations are on the rise, and these new opportunities are instilling confidence in men, and allowing them to really get back to their childhood.
Stay tune for Mancations, which airs Sunday, June 5, at 10 p.m. EDT.
