Actor/producer/director/superrich guy Tom Hanks put one of the houses he owns in Pacific Palisades, California, on the market at $5.225 million, according to the L.A. Times.
Perhaps it should have gone without saying that the single-family residence Hanks is attempting to sell in Pacific Palisades is not the same property he purchased for more than $26 million three years ago from producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.
Now that would have been news that would have landed in more plades than a celebrity real estate deals section. This is the other house Mr. Hanks owns in that area, which according to public records last sold in 1988 for $1.9 million.
The Spanish-style villa, built in 1929, features archways, frescoed ceilings, a library, a sky-lit kitchen, a sun room, a beauty salon, four bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and 6,289 square feet of living space. The living room opens to a loggia and gardens.
