Online gossip column Gawker recently posted a tale about a scorned rich man that may have more money than sense. Either way, he is not shy when it comes to showing his true feelings.
Alan Markovitz wanted to express his anger toward his ex-wife’s new boyfriend. Mr. Markovitz claims that the man, someone whom he knows, was having an affair with his ex-wife prior to the couple’s divorce.
Markovitz bought the house next door to where his divorced wife and new beau live. He moved in and installed a giant bronze statue of a raised middle finger on his back porch, which faces the couple’s bedroom window. At night, spotlights shine on the bronze bust, illuminating the area like a grand opening for a new club on the Strip in Las Vegas.
Unfortunately, the spectacle has drawn the ire of a neighbor, as the beacons of light shine brightly through her bathroom window, causing her to convey her frustration toward the situation on Twitter.
...."[I]t’s hard for me to enjoy my baths now because my fav tub is in my mom’s bathroom, which faces out towards [Alan’s] house," [the neighbor] wrote, adding a frowny-face emoticon.
