The Huffington Press reports that there are several factors that contribute to offer an explanation as to why the citizenry of Switzerland is happier than people living in other countries. And it goes beyond the country being among the wealthiest of world citizens globally.
People there are among the healthiest worldwide despite the Swiss government spending two-thirds less of its GDP on healthcare than the U.S. Switzerland also ranks highly in education, averaging a high-school graduate level of 86% among those between 25 and 64 years of age.
Switzerland also has the eight lowest rate of depression in the word, which may positively impact its workforce and economy.
In addition to investing in their human capital, the Swiss have created a system that allows people and companies to leverage that capital. This includes ease of transportation and Internet connectivity.
