Blohan was sentenced to her jail sentence today in connection with
the incident where she unknowingly left a jewelry store wearing a necklace the necklace she stole.
After pleading (through her lawyer) no contest for stealing a pricey necklace at an L.A. store in January, the star, 24, was sentenced to four months in jail on Wednesday, Reuters reports.
Lohan wasn't in court this time for the sentencing on the theft charge, which reduced to a misdemeanor. The Mean Girls actress was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours community service. A judge told the troubled starlet to report to jail by June 17.
There's a major bright side for Lohan, though: Her attorney noted in court that, due to overcrowding in L.A. jails, Lohan will likely serve her sentence under house arrest or with an electronic monitoring program.
Uhh, correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't this chick been under house arrest with an ankle monitoring device like 900 times? And has it done anything to stop her? When will these f-ing judges wake up! If the jail's overcrowded, release someone who might actually have a chance to change their life!
