What the downgrade means for California and San Diego

In the week since Standard & Poor?s downgraded the U.S. long-term debt rating from AAA to AA+, political parties pointed fingers and investors worried. The markets went into turmoil, as expected, and Treasurys were bought up as a safe investment, which was not at all expected.
