Two new tables at Svenskt Tenn

September 5, 2012

Svenskt Tenn launches two new tables;942 by Josef Frank and Oolong by Eva Schildt.Oolong has a handle that invites you to move it around. The table is available in light green or black powder coated iron with brass fittings. Schildt found her inspiration to the name Oolong both from the table?s shapes and from the tea room that recently opened in the Svenskt Tenn store in Stockholm. Oolong has a lightness of lines that corresponds well with how Svenskt Tenn founder Estrid Ericson wanted it,? says Thommy Bindefeld, Marketing Director, Svenskt Tenn. ?She preferred sleek furniture that is easy to move as needed. Similar playful shapes recur in Josef Frank?s floral table 942. The 942 table by Josef Frankwas designed in the 1930s. At this timeFrank created a series of metal furniture, often with exciting material combinations such as the iron, brass and stainless steel featured in the 942. Some 80 years later it is now being manufactured true to the original drawing with Frank?s instructions, found in the archives of Svenskt Tenn.
