Swedish design company TAF has been assigned by Cibone & merci Shop to design a limited edition of ten coat hangers. To get the expression of a dressed hanger even when not in use we have been looking at different kind of nearby objects like shirts and collars. The result is made of thin birch plywood which is wrapped around the hook from a typical dry cleaner hanger and easily put together with pop rivets, says Gabriella Gustafson & Mattias St?hlbom from TAF. The TAF hangers will be part of an exhibition curated by Daniel Rozensztroch at CIBONE Aoyama during Tokyo Designers Week 30 Oct.?5 Nov. 2012. The hangers will be sold exclusively for charity.
