A friend studying abroad in Ireland this year reports that he and the other American students in his apartment building are planning a mini Thanksgiving of their own. None of them have cooked before, and they are, well, cash-strapped. And there's also the matter of the different ingredients available to them in Ireland. (I also suspect that they don't have many kitchen utensils.) "Why not check out Epicurious' Thanksgiving guide?" I suggested. "I did," he replied, "but the recipes look too complicated for us."
