Early start could lead to big receipts

The long lines started after Thanksgiving dinner, wrapping around big box stores and malls. Soon, cash registers were chiming through the night, as retailers kicked off Black Friday earlier than usual.They hope the extended hours and early sales will lead to a strong holiday shopping season. Hundreds of thousands of shoppers across the Valley responded, braving crowded stores and packed parking lots in search of doorbuster deals and holiday gifts.
