Norwegian designer Daniel Rybakken presents a new version of his Right Angle Mirror with Galerie Kreo in Paris. The mirror is made by laminated sheets of mirror-polished stainless steel. It is positioned at a 90-degree angle to the wall – this creates reflections and shadows cast on it's surrounding space. When standing next to the wall, looking at the reflection, the Right Angle Mirror has the mode as a mirror, says Daniel Rybakken. But when taking a step out from the wall, it no longer reflects something recognizable, only the surface it is mounted on. At that point it is transformed into a sculpture where the curves touching the wall create the illusion of it being suspended in space. The mirror is presented in the exhibition ‘Autour Du Cou' at Galerie Kreo and it will run until the 19th of January 2013. The mirror is made in a limited edition of 20 numbered pieces.
