Looks like Marni‘s streak of good design from Fall was no fluke. As they continue on into Resort and Spring/Summer, long-gone are the days of shapeless and ugly bags. This is a bona fide commitment to sleek shapes that exude sophistication and refinement. Combine these smartened-up silhouettes with precision-cut leather and you?ve got modern elegance that's undeniable. I, for one, welcome the new era.
The new season also introduces the Flap Bag collection, a vast selection of classic shoulder styles in lambskin and French soft-calfskin (for elegantly natural aging). Marni was going for ?clean and graphic? and executed it impeccably, all the while staying true to their trademark quirky-snob details (a touch of color-blocking, a smidge of hardware, you know the drill). Their way with studs is nuanced and ever-so mature ? no chunk and clunk for this girl! In every color of the versatile rainbow, these are the kinds of bags you could fill your closet with and still manage to get wear out of each one. To be available at Marni.
