Marni mania continues for the Snobs. Our freshly rekindled obsession is the product of (duh!) great design, but there?s also something in the air when it comes to the Tie tote?s details. Maybe I'm in the holiday spirit, but colorblock bags heavily featuring red have been on my radar lately. This is definitely not as Christmas-specific as the Jil Sander candy-cane riff, but you have to admit: just the color strikes a chord right about now.
But it?s the functional bits that do the trick. A strap that changes direction is a brilliant fix for the tote that won't sit properly at your side. It would have been even more brilliant if the top strap was removable so you have more options, but alas…Do I even need to mention how much I love that outer pocket? I cannot overstate the allure of such simplicity and sharp edges on this slim tote. The magic continues at the house of Marni. What next?! Available for pre-order at Neiman Marcus for $1,135 (expect delivery by March 22nd).
Pair with: What?s black and white and red all over? You, in a most charming way, with Moschino Cheap and Chic?s striped stretch-knit biker jacket, combining streetwise style with the comfort of a sweater. On Net-a-Porter for $650.
