Against the chill, the vivacious director emeritus of San Diego?s Old Globe Theatre is wearing his ?Hairspray? fleece jacket ? his first Tony Award came for that hit show ? and his wool ?Dead Accounts? baseball camp, swag from his latest gig, a Broadway comedy by the estimable Theresa Rebeck.
