Famed Café Royal Takes on New Identity as Hotel, Loses None of the Luxe

The doors of London's legendary Café Royal reopened December 5 as a luxury hotel, ushering in a new era of style and sophistication to the famed locale. In its current incarnation, the iconic meeting place of a century's worth of celebrities becomes a contemporary, luxury hotel pairing a strong design sensibility with an emphasis on modern amenities. The long-awaited return of this iconic landmark culminates a four-year transformation under the direction of David Chipperfield Architects. The hotel joins The Conservatorium in Amsterdam as the second hotel of The Set.
