The luckiest travellers over the festive season? Well, the passengers booked on a Boxing Day flight from Holguín in eastern Cuba to Manchester might not have felt fortunate at the time, but they may have changed their tune by now. Thomas Cook Airlines flight 245 was delayed by 24 hours, giving the holidaymakers an extra day in the Caribbean with the carrier responsible for their meals and accommodation. And thanks to a recent court ruling, every passenger could be in line for ?500 compensation from the airline.
