Roger Vivier's Prismick bag launched with much aplomb last year. A classical flap style complemented with modern prisms and versatile gold chains, it exudes easy elegance. I have the lovely aubergine suede-and-leather version, a Christmas gift from Vivier, and I can't stop carrying it.
For me, it's the new Chanel 2.55, a bag that demands to be collected in every color and material possible. For spring, I have my eye on the nude version. A good nude bag is beyond difficult to find. It?s a shade that?s near impossible to nail (too beige, too bland, too lackluster!), but Vivier?s interpretation of flesh tone is perfect. It's got just enough blushing color to have some life to it, but it?s still neutral enough to lighten up your winter darks and ease you into spring brights. Best of all, it?s thoughtfully designed; there are three ways to wear the chain:
1. As a swingy crossbody
2. Doubled over for a classic shoulder style
3. A neat top-handle (Tip: I tie the chains under the flap and voila! instant top-handle!)
When a bag has substance and style in spades, it's clearly a sound investment. On Luisa via Roma for $3,243.
