Top & Bottom at McDonald's

I'm well aware that carping about fast food is as annoying as boasting you don't watch food teevee. So I'll just link a small bit of good news: A great feature on the gap between a worker and the boss at McDonald's just won a journalism award. It's a good/sad long read, but I'm taking the most encouragement from it as a sign that the debate on how/what America eats is starting to bring in the human factor. Maybe people will inch toward understanding there are many reasons why a burger can cost a whopping 99 cents even with gazillions spent on advertising.
