Sculptural and oversized paper clay objects by Paola Paronetto

At the 2013 edition of Maison&Objet fair in Paris this week Italian ceramist and artist Paola Paronetto will launch a new collection of oversized bottles and bowls called Cartocci. The paper clay collection has many fascinating facets; plain segments or with texturized surfaces, pure gold applications or vivid colour rectangles, or just simply white. It gets a unique appearance from the special texture of paper and card, pulp and fibre that is added to the ceramic mixture. Their lightness is visually impacting; these articles look as fragile as if they were really made from paper.
