Is there anything new about chicken cordon bleu? No, but at Tiny's Giant Sandwich Shop on Rivington Street, the dated combination of ingredients translates into a rather satisfying sandwich ($6 small pictured, $9 large). Bite-size chunks of lightly breaded chicken are the key to this sandwich's success—they're easy to eat and remain juicy.

From there it's the thin slices of ham you expect and well-melted Swiss to keep everything in place. No mayo, but juice from the tomato gives the sandwich the extra boost of moisture it needs. The handful of chips that comes with each order makes the smaller, $6 sandwich more than enough for a midday meal. Sometimes you're looking for a classic no-frills sandwich, and this is it.
