David Lenhardt, the 43-year-old president and chief operating officer of PetSmart Inc., will assume the role of chief executive officer at the company in June.
The Phoenix-based retailer of pet supplies and services said Lenhardt would take over June 14 and join the firm's board after the annual shareholders meeting. Bob Moran, 62, the company's current chairman and CEO, will become executive chairman. He joined the firm in 1999.
