Rebecca Minkoff's Winter Style DOs and DON'Ts (Plus, Chat with Her Live!)

January 30, 2013

We're big fans of Rebecca Minkoff around here. Not only have we been loving her accessories for years (her famous bags have been spotted on the likes of Alexa Chung and Lauren Conrad), but she has a sense of humor about fashion too, as evidenced by fun videos like this. Rebecca was nice enough to share her winter style DOs and DON'Ts with us, plus she's talking all things fashion in a Facebook chat TODAY, January 30! Get all the deets below.

Rebecca Minkoff's Winter Style DOs and DON'Ts

Wear white. It's chic and refreshing for winter.
Pile on statement jewelry and wear them all at once.
Wear an oversized coat--it gives you plenty of room for layering.
Top off a romantic dress with a tough leather jacket.

Wear tights with open-toe shoes.
Wear all black all the time. But if you must, a bold leather accessory or a fiery red lip is an easy way to brighten up your look.
Be afraid to mix and match prints and texture.
Be too matchy-matchy. Monochromatic is cool, but it's best to break up the look with different shades in the same color family.
Wear shorts with tights. Just wear pants.

And Rebecca's ultimate DO? Tweet your winter style looks to her @rebeccaminkoff! (Who doesn't want to show off a cute outfit?)

Now for the best part: Rebecca will be chatting on our Facebook wall TODAY, January 30, and she wants to hear from you! Just head over from 1:30-2:00 PM ET and ask your question in the comments section of her photo. Who knows, she may just give you a little intel on her upcoming New York Fashion Week show! See you there, kids.
