The Beers Wars, They Have Begun: Is InBev Darth Vader and Anheuser-Busch the Emperor, or the other way around? Either way, they and MillerCoors have been feeling the pain as their supposedly indestructible and fully operational beer-market monopoly is threatened by those scrappy Rebels -- I mean craft breweries. Beer Society: The New York Times discusses how we can thank beer for giving us civilization. Or as Ben Franklin, said, "Beer is living proof God loves us and wants us to be happy." Palate Cleanser: Want a break from the food-porn Instagram shots every foodie and their mother's taking these days? How about Food Anti-Porn, which shows us photos of food you'd never want to eat. Mississippi Banning: The Hospitality State is expected to sign into law a bill that makes it illegal for local governments to restrict serving sizes, ban kids' meal toys, or require nutritional information in restaurants, in what's being dubbed the "anti-Bloomberg" law. Which, as Mayor Bloomberg himself points out, kind of proves his point considering Mississippi regularly takes the annual prize for the fattest state in the nation.
