SJC: City can turn Long Wharf pavilion into restaurant

The Boston Redevelopment Authority can proceed with plans to allow a private company to turn a Long Wharf pavilion into a waterfront restaurant under a decision today by Massachusetts? top court.

The Supreme Judicial Court ruled that the pavilion area does not constitute a public park, and therefore the planned development does not require a two-thirds vote of the state Legislature.
