NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Mar 19, 2013) - The BAFTAs are a genuinely global film awards event, getting more star-studded, glamorous and glitzier each year. It's the biggest night in the British film calendar, a red-carpet event that many celebrities kick off with the annual Charles Finch & Chanel Pre-BAFTA Dinner. The dinner was held the night before the show, on February 9th, 2013, at Annabel's in London, a private members club, founded in 1963 by Mark Birley. It is the most star-studded pre-BAFTA party in town, attracting leading luminaries of the British and International film and fashion world, who join BAFTA nominees to celebrate a year of film and fashion. For more than a decade now, Charles Finch, CEO of Finch & Partners, with the support of Chanel, has been co-hosting the event, invitations are hard to come by and the dress code is strictly enforced. The exclusive dinner regularly attracts a stellar list of directors and producers, including, on Saturday, Harvey Weinstein, Stephen Frears, Joe Wright and Nick Broomfield. Furthermore, fancy film folk like Thandie Newton, Kristin Scott Thomas, Claire Danes, Tom Ford, and Rosamund Pike were all in the crowd that night.
