Listen up, dolls. Are you lugging around a giant purse day in and day out? Rocking the highest heels possible out on date night? Well according to a recent Stylecaster article, it turns out these habits can be seriously harmful to your health. Here's why...
One of the worst things you can do for your body alignment is wear high heels, says Will Torres, a health and fitness expert and owner of Willspace, a private training studio in New York City. According to Torres, walking on the ball of your feet can put a ton of stress on your spine and compresses its discs over time. Yowza. Thankfully, low heels are one of spring's hottest trends. As for that giant bag you insist on carrying around, the uneven weight distribution caused by women carrying purses on one side forces the body to shift causing muscle imbalances and alignment issues. Not to mention the neck discomfort and shoulder pain.
