Element by Tokujin Yoshioka

March 26, 2013

At the coming Milano Salone del Mobile Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka will present a new collection of furniture for the brand Desalto. The collection called Element consists of a sculptural form of furniture collection inspired of natural crystal structure by adopting the random harmony and beauty from nature. Through the project, Tokujin Yoshioka would like to throw a question of how we could connect our lives to the future, by being exposed to the serendipitous beauty born of nature. The collection was the development from the process of the numerous experiments and research I did for ‘ Crystallized project ‘ initiated in 2007. Upon these experiment,  Element was born from my challenge to revealing new aspect of nature and it is a sculptural form of furniture, says Tokujin Yoshioka.   You can find some more articles about Tokujin Yoshioka here, here and here.
