Wooing foreign business discussed by metro Phoenix leaders

A lack of coordinated outreach efforts and the widespread perception that Arizonans dislike foreigners have prevented the state from enjoying more economic opportunities through international investment, a group of local, state and federal leaders said Thursday. They spoke in Phoenix at a meeting of Arizona business and political leaders who share the common goal of increasing foreign investment in the state. The event was sponsored by Arizona International Growth Group, which advocates for public-policy changes that would make Arizona more desirable to businesses around the globe.
