Utilities hike pay for top officials

Arizona Public Service Co. and Salt River Project both disclosed pay increases for top executives, with the biggest bump coming for the man in charge of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, who cashed in on a $4 million bonus last year. Randall Edington, APS executive vice president and chief nuclear officer, earned a total of $9.13 million in 2012 with his $900,000 base salary and other income, including the increase in his pension value, according to an APS regulatory filing.
