Carnival Triumph breaks loose from port

A TV station in Mobile, Alabama is reporting that the Carnival Triumph cruise ship has broken loose from the port and has drifted across the river.

WKRG says two boats are on the scene, attempting to maneuver the ship back to where it had been undergoing repairs.

The ship has reportedly also sustained damage. There is a hole on the right side of the stern, WKRG says.

The Carnival Triumph was towed to port there on Feb. 14 after an engine room fire crippled the ship.
