Business claims after Hurricane Sandy rejected by thousands

Insurers are contending the damage was caused by a flood at a Con Ed substation on E. 14th St. during the superstorm, and that a ?business-interruption? insurance policy held by many local eateries and shops doesn?t cover that destruction, Crain?s New York Business reported.
