Boston residents hear plans to remake library building

The modern half of the Boston Public Library in Copley Square is due for a major facelift that could include transforming parts of it into retail space."This building has been around for about 40 years, so we think it's time to take a look at it," Michael Colford, director of library services, told a gathering of about 50 people at a public meeting Wednesday night at the Johnson Building, which is at the heart of the project.
