Banana Republic x Issa: A Collab Destined for Kate Middleton's Royal Closet

April 12, 2013

Issa London became a household name when Kate Middleton wore the label's bright blue silk wrap-style dress for her engagement announcement in November 2010. Clearly, Banana Republic also took note of that fashion moment, as the two brands just announced a pre-fall collab that will go on sale Aug. 6.

So far, the two fashion players are only releasing two sketches from the 40-piece collection. But, I'm told it be heavy on the safari theme, which goes to the heart of Banana Republic's heritage. It will be full of zebra and leopard prints, paired with neutral and jewel tones.

Banana Republic promises one of the most coveted pieces from the collection will be a zebra-print kimono-sleeved dress.

You may recall that this isn't Issa's first collab in the U.S. Nikki recently wrote about a collection of dresses that the brand sold on The Outnet.

Are you excited for this Banana Republic x Issa collab? Do you like the sketches?
