Capt. Jackson satisfied sweet tooths in Colonial-era Boston

The Old North Church offers a true taste of old Boston ? and quite a tale of history and adventure ? with its new Captain Jackson?s Colonial Chocolate Shop, named for a real-life but ill-fated 18th century church member and merchant.

The shop opened Saturday in the Clough House, one of the small brick buildings between the back of the church and the Paul Revere Mall that spreads out to Hanover Street.
