Back Story of a Cupcake by Sara Ross

People often ask me where I get my flavor inspirations from. A lot of times, I?ll start with an ingredient, and that?s what I did when the people at Nestle Crunch asked me to participate in their national dessert competition to celebrate the 75th birthday of the candy bar. The challenge: create a dessert worthy of winning the top prize against 14 other bakeries in the United States using Nestle Crunch bars as an ingredient. So to create the cupcake, the first thing I looked at was: what are the main components of that candy bar?
