Adidas Designs This "Boston Stands as One" T-Shirt To Benefit Victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing

April 19, 2013

All my thoughts today are with the people of Boston, who are sitting at home and watching this manhunt coverage slowly unfold. If you're feeling helpless and want to find a way to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, Adidas is coming to the plate with one option. The retailer is selling a "Boston Stands as One" T-shirt, in which 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to The One Fund Boston, an organization that was created to help those affected by the bombing. The shirt costs $26.20, a play off the marathon's distance of 26.2 miles.

“The selflessness and compassion demonstrated by the city of Boston, the first responders, the Boston Athletic Association and all marathon volunteers in providing assistance to the injured have stuck with us and inspired us,' Adidas America president Patrik Nilsson told WWD. “We commend Boston — and those associated with the city and the marathon — for their reaction to this very challenging situation. We applaud them for standing together as one on Monday and in the days which have followed.'

The T-shirt is on sale on Adidas' website.

If I hear about more items that go on sale to benefit victims, I will update this post later today and throughout the weekend.
