Proenza Schouler For Net-a-Porter Is the Latest Designer Collaboration to Drool Over

April 29, 2013

If you thought the recent surf trend was dead in the water, never fear. Thanks to a just-released capsule collection created by Proenza Schouler for Net-a-porter.com, it looks like sporty, beachy pieces are just as chic as ever.

Inspired by favorite items from the designers' past collections, the capsule features board shorts, striped t-shirt dresses, and color-blocked sweaters in cool, seaside hues.

While all nine products in the collection are highly covetable, it's the Baja-tinged hoody pullover and mini shorts that really have me drooling. In turquoise and yellow stripes, the two pieces look a lot like the kind of thing you might buy while on an island vacation, only these special pieces come with lots of Proenza Schouler fanciness: suede trim, leather cording, and custom tweed.

Though I won't be plopping down the $1,475 it would take to make this hoodie my very own, this collection does have me thinking I need to incorporate a little Baja spirit into my summer wardrobe. Heck, I might even make a quick visit to one of my new favorite online shops: Mexicanthreads.com.

Will you wear the Baja-surf trend this summer?
