Guests at the Netherlands Embassy in D.C. celebrated the coronation of the new Dutch king on Tuesday night by wearing festive orange and joining Dutch Ambassador Rudolf Bekink to watch the taped ceremony from that morning.
New King Willem-Alexander is the country's first king since 1890, and the youngest ruling monarch in Europe at 46-years-old. President Obama congratulated him in a statement, and sent NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, James G. Stavridis, to Tuesday's investiture ceremony.
