US Airways traffic up; revenue falls

Tempe-based US Airways Group Inc. reported higher traffic in April compared with a year ago, though the revenue it earned per mile of travel decreased, which officials blamed on the Federal Aviation Administration. Because of federal budget cuts from the so-called sequestration, the FAA used furloughs during the latter part of the month, which delayed flights.
