After a five-year courtship, Phillip Lim has agreed to do a collaboration with Target! His limited-edition collection won't be available in stores until September but when it finally arrives, the designer promised a "modern day wardrobe" for women and men.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, he said he's designing clothing "that I felt were necessary" but he wouldn't reveal more about what we can expect to see in stores. Target will price the collection at $20 to $75, according to the Journal, although leather jackets will top out at around $300.
Some collaborations have been more successful than others for Target--Missoni is the gold standard--but I'm predicting big things for Phillip Lim's Target debut. The only question: with the demand for his clothes, will you be able to log on quick enough to Target.com to get your hands on it?
Are you excited to see Phillip Lim's collab with Target? What's been your favorite designer partnership so far?
