Developers face knots in $25M restoration

Developers are hoping a $25 million restoration will finally salvage an oddly shaped historic rope factory at the Charlestown Navy Yard that?s been warped by fire and decades of neglect.

?The community will be ecstatic if this building can be saved,? said developer Joseph Timilty, whose team from Frontier Enterprises was designated by the Boston Redevelopment Authority to try to revitalize the Ropewalk Building in Charlestown near the Tobin Bridge. ?I think people will want to live in a building that?s rich in history and tradition.?
